Loony Lunch

Kabir Singh (aged 9) is a keen illustrator from Newham with a passion for animation. With an obvious talent for drawing, and recognised by his school, Monega Primary, as Gifted and Talented, he applied for a grant from the Mayor of Newham Trust Fund for one-to-one animation tuition.

After being successfully awarded a grant, Kabir has now completed his tuition with animator Tom Hillenbrand and made the transition from still pictures to moving images. The culmination of his work and an example of his skill is available here for all to view online.

The Mayor of Newham Trust Fund was established in 2009 to provide support to residents in Newham where it is currently unavailable in the borough. The Fund's primary aim it twofold: to relieve suffering or assist in recovery from ill health and to provide support for educational development. For more information please visit
