    Fuck that shit.

The Remake should be as it is, but with some 'truth' and updates.

This movie is near perfect considering the time period when it was made.

Irony is during this period the Boxers were pretty much allowed to train in front of the Forigeners, who viewed their martial arts and calesthenics as little more then acrobatics and entertainment, not hand to hand combat training and given this attitude the Boxers could easily spy on the Forigen Compound. there are stories from US Marines that it took multiple rounds to bring down a Boxer warrior, wheather it was fanaticism or the lower caliber ammunition is up for debate

Here's an idea for a possible remake: China 1900: The Boxer Rebellion burns across China pitting brother against brother and China against the world. When the first attempt to relieve Peking fails a small band of American Marines are forced to take shelter in a village guarded by a legendary Shaolin Grandmaster and his small band of followers. When the warring factions decend on the village the Marines and the Shaolin are forced into an uneasy alliance to save the village and the secret it hides

To get technical the Society of Rightious and Harmonous Fists was only nicknamed Boxers because of the martial arts and calesthenics they practices, and they weren't so much acrobats as they were a secret society, religious sect and to use modern terms they would be classified as a terrorist group
