Wing Chun Training

Hello this is Ben Jacobsen with a video response to Sifu Zeigler's "Friend Lesson #8 - Huen Sao". Or circling hand movement.

Several things struck me about this video, I thought that the washing machine metaphor did an excellent job of explaining why you don't see these type of circling hand movements any more - and why they are so important.

In have noticed that no matter what type of Wing Chun you do or what your Siu Nim Tao looks like, the huen sao will always be the movement you always see performed the most. It just goes to show how important it is to practice correctly.

The legendary power that Wing Chun Masters like Yip Man had in their hands came from countless hours of the huen sao exercise!

Look forward to posting more responses in the future! Have a great day and train hard!

  • Small movement, big idea. The smallest movements in Wing Chun often can be the most powerful.

  • The great circling hand! Thank you Grand Master Chan. SifuZ
