THE ENTIRE 2010 KOREA INTERNATIONAL BALLET COMPETITION IS FOR SALE. Please contact me if interested in all or parts of the 2010 Korea International Ballet Competition.
Prior to the 2010 Korea International Ballet Competition, there were two important international ballet competitions, one being Jackson 2010 and the other one being Perm Arabesque 2010. Both competitions had gold medalists that danced in this competition. In round one, 2010 Perm Arabesque gold medalist , Aidos Zakan, danced with a ballerina from the same company that both danced for last month, the St. Petersburg Mikhailovsky Ballet, the second ranked ballet company in St Petersburg, Russia ,behind the Mariinsky Ballet. His partner, Oksana Bondareva, is clearly one of the most dazzling ballerinas in the world, with her spectacular fouettes, pirouettes and balances. They dance the pas de deux from Le Corsaire.

  • I love this variation - but always think of this as being Gamzatti's variation - seems strange to see it in Corsaire. Any ballet historians around?

  • @Pearlaceous To get the perfect answer, you would have to ask Yuri Burlaka. It is interesting that Oksana dances for the Mikhailovsky which uses the same variation as the Mariinsky in this pas de deux, but she chose a different version for her variation.

  • Yesterday,I saw her at Gala. She danced two pas de deux-Grand Pas Classique & Don Quixote, parter was Victor Lebedev. She make big progres. She is now much better, than in this video. She is now really ballerina.

  • She's the fairy Violente in the Mikhailovsky's live stream of Sleeping Beauty of today! I knew I had seen her before somewhere :)

  • I think that she is too fat.

  • Amazing!

  • Sometimes it seems as if she is concentrating on the steps, rather than the dancing, if you see what I mean. She doesn't really do anything for me; she isn't a bad dancer, but I certainly wouldn't describe her as "one of the most dazzling ballerinas in the world". Leave that honour for the Obraztsovas, Osipovas, and Kondaurovas of this world!

  • her ribbons are tied too tight and their colour is odd..... kept distracting me!

  • her technique is great :) she needs to work on her arms and her head. in corsaire, all of the pirates describe her as being the most beautiful, so she work on being more "lady like" i don't know how to explain it over the internet though. she needs to be softer. great fouettes though :)

  • A great ballerina does not stand for how her body looks like, but for technique and the way she expresses through dance

  • what is the position at 3:05 called?

  • ugh! i couldnt even finish the video! her arms and neck and legs and everything are just not pretty! and her and the guy do not work well together
