This song takes me back to when I was 24 years old. My girlfriend of many years had just broken up with me and I wandered off - travelling slowly around the United States, alone. At one point I was working on a farm in upstate New York and I remember listening to this album all the time. It really hit home. Every song. Especially this one, 'Old Man". "Love lost, such a cost. Give me things that don't get lost..." God, I loved that girl.

this song reminds me of growing up in New Zealand, and the dark thunder when we silently returned from the beach in the car....this was playing on the radio
