@sulyokreka Lir in Irish mythology is a king whose three children were turned to swans by their stepmother(Aoife) after their real mother died. They had to swim in certain lakes around Ireland for 300 years. Probably he is the same mythic figure as Lear, as the are place names and legends all over the British isles and beyond with various spellings and variations on this name.
