Zeppelins' reference to Joni makes sense. The individualism that Joni exhibited in her music/poetry was still timed to a generation that loved her kind of talent. Today, Joni would be told by Simon,"do you realize you are in a singing contest?". Not long ago the music industry recognized and embraced unique and awesome talent and promoted it because of its inspiration. Great music was prolific. Nevertheless, great music exists still- we just have to dig harder

Many creative people have demons they need to deal with, so what. Joni's music implies to me she was, at her bottom line, a good and gentle soul. Her music was incredibly good and infuenced so many others. I would agree that someone attacking her personally most likely has some interesting psychological reasons for doing so. What an incredibly great song.
