This is a pretty obscure instrumental of John Denver's Looking For Space which I first heard in 1978 as muzak at an engineering company I was working at. It's by the Frank Chacksfield orchestra who was similar to Mantovani of performing pop hits in orchestral form. I had scoured the internet in the past looking for this particular version to no avail as it's out of print. However, I lucked out in the age of downloading (legally), that somehow this was available on Amazon. And so here it is.

I included lyrical overlay since this is an instrumental, and for those who might not be familiar with the lyrics. Hopefully it has all synched up and comes out well. Enjoy! Oh, and hopefully ya'all have a subwoofer on your computer, because there are some very nice bass notes that aren't as evident on regular desktop speakers.

  • @jenafuller Thanks so much! Glad you liked it.

  • How wonderful to see your video!

I am the producer of the music and I can assure you that Frank would be very proud to be associated with your work.

Knowing that our work motivated you to produce this syncronization is flattering. I will be suggesting others who know the recording stop by and view your work.

    Thank you!

  • Well thank you for your very kind comments! I am flattered by your assertion that Frank would be proud to be associated with this.

I must say that prior to this (the download), I had only heard your work through ceiling speakers at my company. I listen to this through Sony studio headphones amplified through a digital stereo receiver, and the sound is stunning!

I must give kudos to you on a thoroughly enjoyable product, and for choosing this song! I look forward to those others' remarks.

  • Wonderful. Thanks for uploading.

  • You know....you don't hear Muzak music like this anymore. Here in Cincinnati there was a Radio Station WWEZ that played music like this. It went out of Business sadly.
