me & my pops was talkin' about this last week. cuz i got braids, and for the past 3 or 4 years, everybody been tellin' i should cut my hair. but dats some ol' bullshit. if i got all the proper credentials for the job, what does my hair have to with anything? by tellin' me to cut my hair, u basically shittin' on my individuality & my heritage. to them, long on men & natural hair on black women is "unprofessional". dats why i say fuck corporate america. they all a bunch of snakes anyway

We have been conforming to America long enough and look at how low our self esteem has gotten because of it. Im studying health sciences and plan to go to law school. That's America for you though the most petty, racist, and judging a book by it's cover place on earth. Black people have so many strikes against them just being black alone, not to mention with locs. I have locs and have to deal with corporate America because of the career path I chose. Sometimes you just want to say fuck it and quit playing the game and do other things to make money instead of deal with all the BS. Just feel people should let people be who they are and stop stereotyping..
