A collection of the wide variety of aircraft that pass through the US Army Kwajalein Atoll (USAKA) Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile Defense Test Site (RTS). Includes footage of a C-130 Hercules, C-141 Starlifter, S-3B Viking, UH-1 Huey, F-18 Hornet, F-111, and DeHavilland Twin Otter (DHC-6).

  • too bad no video or film from the 60's. I lived on kwaj from 65 to 67. Then, we came and went on a World Airways DC-6C, and a Northwest DC-7C. We had C-124's C-47s and C-54s (DC-3 and DC-4). Once a C-141 came in. there was one real rush though...a U-2. There were all sorts of guards around it too. I have no idea why that U-2 was there.

  • Great video! I was on Kwaj from 1983 to 1986.

  • Well --- where is the Caribou? I was there 1970-72. went from Kwaj to Meck Island for the Safeguard testing in a Caribou. Thanks for the vidio. -Bernie

  • When we arrived on Kwajalein 50 years ago during the summer of 1960, we flew in on the Flying Tiger airlines which was prop driven with the seats facing backwards. It did make for a long trip from Hawaii with a short stop on Johnson Island. I noticed that none of the aircraft in the video was a Flying Tiger. Much of the island still looks the same, especially the Richardson Theater but that was in the days before they added the additional land for housing and the new high school.

  • my aunt lived in kwajalein for 7 years.. my uncle worked for Boeing on ballistic missiles

  • The Twin Otter!!! heheh Too bad the huey is going away.

  • purely a great work of art

  • I used to live on Kwaj and can say the worst flight i ever had was a c-131 to Hickem Hawaii. My favorite flight was the c-141.

  • 5 star video. Love every minute of it. Right on Man.
