I've been to the real Monstserrat in Catalonia, assuming that's what it seeks to mimic. The "granite rock formations" appear to be going for that.

@413dan there are plenty more themed mine trains! For example:
- Calamity mine at Walibi Belgium
- the Michael Jackson mine train ride at phantasialand
And lots of more mine trains. Just search for "mine train" at RCDB(RollerCoasterDataBase). There you can look through all mine train coasters, and find out that Disney's not alone having themed rides! ;)
