The elephant is actually a euphamism for the penis in Japanese. If you've ever seen the anime "Inukami!" they hide the naked guys' bits with elephant heads.

Which program do you use to record videos? I use FastCapPro, but it's not perfect. It doesn't work with all emulators, such as my Atari emulator.

I use Camtasia most of the time, but it's kind of resource-intensive and doesn't play well with emulators that thrash the CPU and/or are really picky about timing. For those, I use Growler Guncam. Camstudio and FRAPS get a lot of love from other folks, though I've had little success getting them to work well on my computer; YMMV.

And also... what emulators do you use? Where do you download games for them? especially Below the Root.

I mainly use NEStopia for NES games, MEKA for SMS, Magic Engine for the Turbo, Kega Fusion for Genesis, ZSNES for SNES, WinVICE for C64, AppleWin for Apple II, DOSBox for old PC games, and MAMEUIFX for arcade games (it runs a little more stably than regular MAMEUI in conjunction with recording software, on my computer).

As for the games, it would probably be unwise to discuss specific ROM sources here, but I note that collection torrents are not terribly difficult to find with your search engine of choice and a bit of diligence. :)
