Indy Cars at Barber Motorsports Park

IndyCar IRL at Barber Motorsports Park open test. Drivers include Andretti Green Racing's Danica Patrick, Marco Andretti and Tony Kanaan; Target Chip Ganassi's Scott Dixon and Dan Wheldon; Penske's Helio Castroneves; and from Panther Racing, Vitor Meira.

Tony Kanaan set a new track record of 1:09, an average speed of nearly 120mph. The old track record was 1:20 set by Max Papis in a Daytona Prototype.

I plan on making the short drive from Florence to see this event. Went to the Mustang 45th Anniversary even last year and the track and had a blast.

Awesome!!! I can't wait for April. Just did a DE at Barber and is a beautiful course. It is maintained better than some golf courses.
