Today around four to five thousand people protested in front of the ICelandic parliemnet building.
They where protesting the President of the icelandic central bank ,mr: David Oddson ,former prime minister of Iceland.
And demanding their resignation .
You can hear in the video - where they are shouting " David out - David out "
They are also protesting that the position of central bank manager - is a political position.
That the bank managers are not educated in financial matters.
And all their decicions are political .

  • It's probably not as bad as you think. ;)

People live as usual, go to work, cinema, to shop or party. Country's economy is down at the moment but it doesn't affect daily life so far.

Iceland is great place to visit and just to be. Beautiful winter's coming. By the way, Icelandic Krona is very cheap now so it's the best moment to visit the island. :)

  • i'm telling you - with money it is a nice place as well. but don't talk about fashion with icelanders. they do believe they set trends.

  • you are worse off then you think iceland sets the trend for the world well fashion anyway lol sure its a nice place to be with no money.

  • Denial goes a long way.

  • That protest looks very civilised and gentle. If the political placards weren't there, I would have confused it with a folk music event! Considering what's happened to Iceland's financial system and what will inevitably happen to its economy, I'm surprised the citizens aren't much more angry with the governors of their central bank.

  • Iceland looks like a cool place to visit, hopefully things will get better there.
