Due to the unique infrared touch screen technology in the Kindle Touch, it's quite hard to use it within a case.

As the cover/bag clings to the screen it interferes with the infrared mechanism and causes the kindle to get very confused with what touches you are actually doing. Touches get ignored, random presses get picked up all over the screen, its really a nightmare.

A lot of people claimed that the case i brought was incompatible with the Kindle Touch. It's a cheap Trixes Amazon Kindle waterproof cover, cost about £5.

Some manufactures have come up with a solution to this problem for their cases, wedges that you stick on your kindle to keep the cover from resting on the screen. Make your kindle look pretty ugly in or out of the cover.

The alternative, as you'll see, whilst a little fiddly is perfectly easy to do and has great results. I've not used it in earnest yet but have no doubt i should be more than capable of just moving to the next page when I want to read a fiction novel in the bath.

It is a bit fiddly doing it, especially trying to film it at the same time, but persevere and you'll do it in no-time... tops 2 minutes of effort.

The same technique is much easier to do with zip seal freezer bags, due to the plastic being much thinner and lighter. I think a freezer bag would be fine, but its not going to offer as much protection as these purpose built thicker bags will.

Remember to get some desiccant silicon envelopes to put into your cover/bag to absorb any moisture that does get in and stop it being too humid for your device.
