I saw that style at hiraizumi and kita-kami. Is that style particular to Iwate or Tohoku in general?

You can see this type (drumming dance) of Lion dance in southern area of Iwate prefecture ( especially in Esashi-city ). In northern area of Iwate prefecture ( especially in Tono-city ) , you can see other type of Lion who don't drum.
