i remember watchin this game at home....damn what i game!! and damn what a way to end the game.

Kyle Rau was amazing that game and its so awesoem to have him playin for the Gophers. he brings so much life to the team. it'll be amazing to see him in the NHL someday

"Good highschool player but won't do well at the college level" He has proved that wrong and now they will say he won't be able to handle the NHL. He'll prove that wrong too. One of the best state championship games of all time!! What was interesting was that UMD's playoff game went to 3 overtimes as well. They showed this game on the tv screens at Amsoil Arena as well as the main scoreboard during the intermissions. It was quite the roller coaster ride for fans across the northland that day!!

Bud, name one other state that sends more HS kids to the draft EVERY YEAR. name one other state that has sent more kids to the NHL, let alone minor league or juniors than minnesota. Look at any NCAA team, and if you add it up there are more kids from MN than ANY other single state. They come from HS, USHL, canadian tier 2, etc..... get your head out of your ass. damn.

I don't understand all the hate toward Rau. You should support him. He is your homegrown talent, why don't you want him to succeed? I for one have a lot of respect for this guy. He plays with heart, what more can you ask for?
