Amtrak Hiawatha arrives at Milwaukee and then leaves Southbound for Chicago with the Wheel of Fortune car, and powered with Amtrak P 42 Engine #160 and leading to Chicago was Amtrak B32 Engine # 517 with a Cabbage car.

  • @owlking149 Yes, but now they're NPCUs. (Non-powered control units).

  • @owlking149 Yeah they only can use two. The last time I rode the hiawatha to go to milwaukee from here in Chicago was last year and they had a P40-2 on the other end.

  • @owlking149 just the npcu's. there are no powered f40's in milwaukee, as far as i know!

  • But we may get high speed rail someday, actually for me, I go on the train to enjoy the scenery anyway, sleep in a sleeping car and have good meals with a great view out the window.

  • Very nice clip...I was on this train a while back and it was a nice ride....I then rode some METRAs around the Chicago area and then the L trains around town as well...I will have to get my clips up that I took of this ride....Thanx for sharing and bringing back the good times....
