@BowskinArchery Hey i thought this video was something else, im not really sure how to end a Bowstring, i understand how to start a loop on the beginning of a bowstring but how to you make a nice neat loop at the end of the string?

@yoohoosk8r two ways. the easiest way (and more commonly used due to ease) is the timber hitch, or reffered to by archers and bowyers alike as the bowyers knot, the second is plaiting the other end, a little more involved, but basically the same way you do the first lop, just un twist the string for a length, clamp the untwisted down, un less you have eight arms, feed a tapered ply onto the other ply on both strings, unclamp twist back up! easy enough, but a little more time than th timber hitch

nice,i use the easy version of that,the same ones they put on ships masts and knife handles.you have to have strong string to pull it through,,,

@1000000volts , yeah, couldn't imagine trying to serve a bowstring with something like cotton sewing thread off the wifes singer!LOL
