This is unbelievably beautiful. My aunties, rickie and helen schneyer, used to sing this song and cry. I got goosebumps hearing you gals sing this. Wow. Thank you so much for sharing.

King Henry came riding,
He knelt by her bed.
"What's the matter with my flower,
makes her eyes grow so red?"
-
"Oh Henry, kind Henry, Pray listen to me. Pierce my right side open And save my baby." "Oh no," said King Henry, "That never shall be. I should lose my fair flower For to save my baby." Queen Jane she turned over. She fell in a swound. They pierced her right side open, And the baby was found.

So black was the morning, So yellow the bed, So costly were the white clothes They wrapped round her head Six men went before her, Six men bore her along, King Henry followed after With his black mourning on King Henry, he wept 'Til his hands wrung sore The flower of England Shall flourish no more

Man what a shame there's an echo in the concert hall, if this was directly miked it would be easier to grasp the lyrics. Is this the same as Death of Queen Jane? Ref. Child 379. I've been interested in finding a certain song and not familiar enough with the ones I've found to be sure. thanks for posting, I have been looking for this. Can you forward the lyrics to me perchance? Thanks and 4 stars for a lovely performance.

Thank you for your comments. I'm not sure if it is the same as the Death of Queen Jane that you referenced above, but I would be happy to send you the lyrics. I'll e-mail them to you shortly. We do have an audio version of Queen Jane posted that was recorded in the studio, so if that would help you it is available. Thanks again for your kind words.
