I bought the car partially finished for $2500. It needed batteries and an onboard charger. The motor controller failed some months later so all told, another $2500. One year later with no real problems.

Yes, I kept the clutch, but you don't have to.

I've had it up to 70 mph, but I'd say 65 is more comfortable. I get 35-40 miles range depending on traffic conditions.

i wish i had something like this

lets see the motor and batteries!!

Due to the behavior of lead-acid chemistry batteries, in 70F and above I get 70 mph, and about 40 miles per charge. In extremely cold weather say, 25F I get about 60 mph and 25-30 miles per charge.
Different kinds of batteries have different performance characteristics.

I wish I had the time and expertise to make one for everyone who wants one, but I'm not quite that talented.

The road noise is greater than the sound of the motor, but I'll make another video without the music.
