ATWT: Luke's Story - Part 24

Holden struggles to tell Lily his concerns about Luke and finally confesses he feels he's failed Luke as a father. They decide to cut the dinner short and go spend some much needed time with Luke. But, unbeknownst to them, Luke is at a party with Kevin instead of home where he is supposed to be. When Lily and Holden call to say they are on their way, Luke leaves Kevin, realizing that deep down he has no desire to lie to his parents, and races home, hoping to beat his parents. But a phone call from Kevin distracts him and Luke accidentally hits someone.

Kevin touched Luke and Luke's voice went higher and he looked uncomfortable. And Holden, you did not fail him! Why do most people think they've failed if their child turns out gay? Honestly! The thing that MANY people mistake gay people fopr is that it has to do with masculinity at all, and all placxes that claim to cure gay people are VERY sexist, tthey usually teach the gay people to act in there cliche'd gender identity, when there are none, I mean look at Mullan, she is not Gay but she is more masculine than feminine, Being gay means you are attracvted to the same gender, both sexually and emotionally, so how could a father fail if his son was gay?

My brother grew up with no father. Two sisters and a mother and no man and he turned out straight. (his only flaw is that he doesn't really know how to treat a woman right, how to treat his beloved one with the kind of worship someone you love has deserved)

he didn't need someone to show him how to be a real man at all, he just ist who he is even without a man in his adolecense. so ppl. stop thinking sexuality has anything to do with parents' quality!
