Queen's University has some very strange traditions, and the things that happen on homecoming (or "fauxcoming") weekend are nearly as bizarre as the frosh week stuff. We met in the morning for a pancake party, and got ourselves the right shade of royal pruple for the game. We engineers stood out strongly from the rest of the crowd, especially when we stormed the field at half time. Definately a memorable experience to add to my list of accomplishments here.

  • NO WAY? what high school do you go to?

Im lucky on remembrance day weekend i got to go look at those schools. UofT and Queens were my favorite. Best facilities and campus life. Practically anywhere you go will be a good education. But the $ part of things gets difficult by living away from home

  • @S2kerbz I'm not from Ontario bud, but maybe you've heard of Red Cross Nordic United World College.

Queen's is definitely special. I'm from a small hamlet of 200 people in Alberta, so having this small community atmosphere has been wonderful. Kingston's a beautiful city too, and not too big either. I can't imagine how I would fare in Toronto! the $ side of things is difficult, so work hard for a scholarship if you can. :).

  • @S2kerbz That's sick, I'm from calgary too but I never got to go on a trip like that :\ It's really reasurring to hear that too, because I was debating between those three schools as well. I've been talking to some current and previous students of U of T and McGill and they're advising me to stay away.

  • @iamwalls Yea I know. Im from calgary alberta and I already applied for queens, toronto, and waterloo engineering schools. I went on a trip to ontario to tour all three and queens was deffs my fav.

  • @S2kerbz Applied science (engineering) is the way to go. None of the other faculties do this.

  • @iamwalls im thinking of going to queens too. What faculty are you interested in?

  • Wow, been debating which schools to apply to, this is definitely the one! Damn can't wait, looks like so much fun!
