The tune Reno Factory played in a two finger style. I first heard this tune done by Kirk Sutphin in an excellent 3 finger style... I started playing it two finger style and liked the bluesy-ness of it. Kirk Sutphin learned it from Posey Roach.

The banjo is tuned gDGBD (approx)

  • do you lead the tune with the finger on this, or the thumb?

  • @foxtrotyankee Good question. It's a thumb lead tune, I think, but because so much of the melody is up on the d string I use a lot of index finger for the melodic parts.
