Media Advisory: Tibetans, New Yorkers to Protest China's State-Run Media Ad in Times Square
CHINA'S "CENSORSHIP AGENCY" NOT WELCOME IN THE BIG APPLE
New York -- Tibetans and their supporters will gather in Times Square this morning from 9:00am -- 11:00am to protest the unveiling of a 60 by 40 foot advertisement for Xinhua, China's state-run media agency. Xinhua is the Chinese Communist Party's official propaganda mouthpiece and is reviled by Tibetans, Uyghurs, Chinese dissidents and all who reject Beijing's totalitarian control over information.
"By purchasing one of the most expensive and high profile advertising locations in America, the Chinese government is attempting to convince the world that it is open and democratic when nothing could be further from the truth," said Tenzin Dorjee, Executive Director of Students for a Free Tibet. "Xinhua is China's main censorship agency. It is anti-free speech, anti-democracy, anti-freedom and stands against everything Americans value and cherish. But in this information age, Xinhua's attempt to whitewash China's repression in Tibet, East Turkestan, Southern Mongolia, and in China itself, is doomed to fail."
WHAT: Protest for freedom and against China's media censorship
WHEN: Monday, August 1st, 2011 from 9:00-11:00am
WHERE: Times Square (7th Ave and 46th Street)
then leave us in peace if u guys are so heavenly...

The world's greatest propaganda machine is the western media, i am amazed at how it can convince millions of people americans in particular, to gather enough support and invade a country that majority of them can't even point out on a map.
