Well first of all I'd like to mention, that Amon Düül and Amon Düül II are two different bands (well I'm pretty sure you meant Amon Düül II and that you are aware of the fact so you might excuse this little smart-ass-comment ;) ).

I think we can leave out the causes for the seperation of the original Amon Düül-group.

Okay, let's get serious: this song is the fourth song of the "Made in Germany"-Album...

...it was released in 1975 and is said to be one of thier last (maybe even THE last) good efforts. The song was written by Peter Leopold (drummer) and John Weinzierl (guitars). Well that's basically everything I can tell you.

If you are a fan of their early-seventies works I might warn you because this album is only slightly comparable to their classics. It has some nice tunes (like the one to be witnessed above) but generally it's less "freaky" and contains some allmost pop-music-like songs...

I have "Made in Germany" the 1-LP version, this track is present only in the 2-LP version, and I forgot this detail. Thank you for your answer.

hi-jack a year earlier (74) and pyragony (76) maybe your cup of tea. beztter not try their two records, which came next then. almost alive and only human where far too straight. vortex, from 81, could also be worth for you to try.
