Thank you so much! That's exactly the how to video I needed to see, super small scale exploration. I'm going to do this tomorrow with my small wheelbarrow full of wheat heads.

I'm new to all this, may I ask what do you do with the wheat plants after you harvested the seeds? Do the plants keep growing/regrow themselves? or do you have to remove them and plant a whole new crops?
Thank you very much and it's a A++++ video!

What song was the first one?

What music is that?

This was a wonderful video including the music. Thanks for sharing.

Very impressive. The only thing that would have made it more so, would have been to plant again using your own seeds. I'll never take 3 cups of flour (let alone a loaf of bread) for granted again. Thank you.

Can you use the harvest berries for sprouting to make wheat grass juice??? If the right variety was selected.

Has to be the best how to video on youtube. You answered every question I had.

how much sun you need for wheat or barley?

handsome fella! Hope you do a more involved well method bread making video - that would be cool! Well done!
You planted June 3. Was your variety a summer variety? We planted ours in late October last year, and they are just now ripening, a winter wheat variety. They grew a bit taller than the ones in your video. We interplanted Fava beans and that seemed to really help their growth.

I planted Hard Red Winter Wheat, but it was unusual for me to plant in the spring... should probably plant in the fall and it sits during the winter and sprouts in the spring.

Wow! So cool that you did that. I must say a bit discouraging though. Seems like much work for a small yield. Is it worth it? How many cups did you plant to get the 3 cup yield? Thanks!

Each stalk can have eight heads and each head can have thirty seeds. So, if you plant ten seeds you will get 2,400 potential kernals. I planted 1/2 lb of wheat berries and yielded about 2 lbs. (approx) I only made one loaf... You are welcome!
