Bottom line... African American Hair Can grow... And it can grow very long... The first step in growing our hair is to stop the abuse... Stop bonding them damn weaves... Stop using heat every day... It deff. can grow I'm (dominican/puerto rican) and I know for sure my mom has afro hair and her hair grew long and healthy. not too long but long enough to call it long! thats cause she only conditioned it!! she stopped perming once she realized what it was doing to her hair. So trust me girls your air can deff. grow. just stop those stupid weaves and perms and even relaxers! yea your hairs gonna look ugly for a while atleast a few months to gain back all its beauty but its deff. worth it.

I find the fact that so many black women refuse to admit that their hair just DOES NOT grow as long as others interesting. Why the denial on something so blatantly obvious?

White women wear weave as a choice. When a white woman's hair is short THAT'S THE WAY THEY CUT IT. They wear weave when they want a different look until their hair grows back long (which, at some point, it will). Meanwhile, the average sista will never see the length that the average white women calls short.

perm after perm after perm even at a early age knowing for a fact that it DAMAGES HAIR!!!! Then when it falls out, weave comes in, then they say they use to have long hair, ok fine but what about now? Sounds to some women that they are not happy with their REAL natural hair but they rely on weave. Yes im a young black man and Can any of u ladies let me know something that i may not know plz?
