  • Thanks for this, I love all their music x

  • It doesn't remind me at all of the RHCP's song. I like that song too but it doesn't really resemble BC's at all.

  • Maybe it's just me but some of this is too similar to "under the bridge" by the Red Hot Chilis( listen to first verse). Bella is also so much like "Baby don't cry" by INXS!!

I'm a huge Big Country fan but don't think this is their finest album.

Some good tracks tho', particularly "somebody else", "fragile thing", "dive in to me" and Your spirit to me"

I much prefer their earlier albums and some of the demos on their rarities albums are excellent!!

  • I loved this song from the first time I heard it. While I have sentimental favourites which hit me harder than this one, I think this was their finest song post-Seer. Musically mature, experimental without being strange. The inclusion of Eastern percussion and rhythms worked like an engine.

Lyrically, I believe this was Stuart's most mature and developed song, exploring the crossover between sex and love, worship of the divine and the physical simultaneously. I miss Stuart. Wish I'd met him.

  • I have lived BC since 1983 and The Skids before that. I was totally blown away by Grace.

Stuart was a true poet. He never understood that.

For there's no one below you and no one above?

I fear that is one of the most remarkable statements I've ever heard. You bring me Grace?

By your little death are both of us saved.

Stuart, you captured the human condition so well. I miss you terribly.

  • lol u bring a smile to me ty

  • groovio....lol

  • o my god i was listening the same time as u xx

  • HEY BRIAN...the lyrics are truly wonderful

"If I am weak..I will be blessed" and so I count my blessings in all my weak days.;)and how cool to have met you..a blessing!

  • This track marks a sad milestone, for it is Big Country's final track from their eighth and final studio album. That said, this has all the hallmarks of their earlier material from "The Crossing". It could easily have been written and recorded sixteen years earlier. "Bella", also from the "Driving To Damascus" album is currently absent from this site. Can someone add this great track to You Tube please? Thank you.

  • Your head is a temple, I walk with the lamb

At your fountain I wash the blood from my hands

I pray deep inside you, where no one can see

Except for the spirit that binds you and me

If there's a reason that I'm quiet when I'm with you

It's because I feel at ease

I wouldn't want to spoil this moment by just talking

When my soul has been released

    You bring me grace

    You bring me grace

  • love this song .love this band

    thank you:)

  • Hi Isabelle, sorry about the delayed comment on this one, didn't realise you'd posted it. Thanks for this one! ;)
