As a follow up to the hand-wind Berliner. The 1897 improved Berliner spring motor. Makes listening to music far more enjoyable.

  • No, I don't think I would use a Columbia record on the Berliner. It is a early "Victor" label # 849 " A Coon In Love" by Roger Harding.

  • It's great to hear another Roger Harding Victor from 1901. Thank you for posting this! His delivery reminds me a bit of A-847 "I've Been Down in Old Kentucky," which I have. Sad to think that he was dead within three months of making this batch of records.

  • Interesting Berliner, but I'm even more interested in the record. Lots of talk about "love" there, but I'm curious who we hear, what is the name of the record and how old it is. Is it an early Columbia record with a paper label?
