hes so cool he's like a mix of Roy Orbison and Elton John with a smooth tone from John Neville

Killing.

yeah it sounded like a cool place to go
I saw and met ron last summer at a folk festival with my dad
-
Yes it used to be a K-mart. The firecode for the place is about 4-5 thousand people. Its huge.
I have seen a few bands there.. Crash Test Dummies, Tea Party and of course Jan Arden.
-
I did and he says he remembers it
he says it was in this old department store and that they had made it into a bar
-
Thats so cool! From what I remember Jan's bass player also played with Ron first because Ron didn't seem to have his own bassist that night. It was an LULU's in Kitchener, Ontario in early Dec. 95. Ask your Dad about it.
-
you saw him open for Jan Arden?
wow! thats amazing my dad was the bass player for Jan at the time and thats where he first met him
-
I have had the great pleasure of seeing Ron 3 times so far. First time was VERY early in his career (Dec. 95) and he was opening for Jan Arden. I then saw him twice in 98 and have had a long drought. His shows are some of the best I have ever seen.
Best ever Canadian singer/songwriter/performer!
