@Hepglon Thank you for comment. Yeah, it's a good Idea. I know many animators that like to keep separate Maya files as scenes as well. It helps to a have files referenced. I just got AS8. I'll look to see if there are any improvements in this area.

@JaysThoughts I don't think so, what you will want to do though, is export the first part to ".mov" format, then create a new file and import the ".mov" file you saved, set the frame number to one frame after the original animation ends, and start animating the next one.

SWEET! I've been using Flash for years and have not produced anything in ages just because of the time and frustration with the program. I have ordered my copy of Anime Studio Pro 7 and I am so excited to try out! Cannot wait for it to arrive. Thanks for posting and keep up the great work.

If there's any way to actually start a new "scene" in the new animation.. I have no idea what it is. Help?

Kinda reminds me of Cheshire. ^w^
There is not a specific way to separate scenes in Anime Studio as far as I know. Sometimes I will save out an animation as a new file, so that it keeps my characters and make a new scene that way. Other times I will just bookend my keyframes in my timeline so it just pops to my new scene.
