2009 Polar Bear Plunge at Hampton Beach, New Hampshire - Walk For Liberty Anniversary - Dec 31, 2009

Dec 31, 2009 - On the one-year anniversary of the successful conclusion of the Walk For Liberty (http://WalkForLiberty.com ), 15 people jumped into the frigid Atlantic Ocean at Hampton Beach, New Hampshire to celebrate.

The Walk For Liberty was a coast-to-coast walk across America to promote the ideas of freedom. During most of 2008, Will Buchanan walked from the coast of Oregon to the New Hampshire seacoast.

The purpose of the walk was twofold. First, to promote the presidential campaign of Ron Paul. And second, to promote the Free State Project, the idea of encouraging liberty activists to move to a single geographic location, that being New Hampshire, for the purpose of multiplying their activism.

Activists have already started moving to New Hampshire as part of the Free State Project, and vibrant liberty community has sprung up there. Activists encourage and support one another, bounce ideas off each other, work together toward a freer New Hampshire (which is already the freest state in the United States.
