    Interesting story: the whole album Please Please Me was recorded in less than a day because the Beatles felt they needed to capitalize on their sudden rise. Only one problem: John Lennon had a bad cold. By the end he could barely sing and when he did it sounded grainy and screaming. The final song was Twist and Shout as well as one of the most vocally demanding songs. John's completely destroyed larynx was the reason we have these iconic vocals.
