This video was not planned, but after the power went out, I walked around the few blocks nearest my home, just to kill time, but as I was doing that, the damage from this Nor'Easter was starting to unwind.
We get to see downed trees, and get to hear a bunch of new limbs and whole trees, fall on-video, smoldering power lines, one as it started, and from a distance, transformers blowing up, also caught on camera.
Ultimately, I lose power for 4 1/2 days. 32 transformers blew out, many downed, or low-hanging, power and utility lines, and needless to say, trees.

  • Ultimately... my neighbors (street behind me) and all surrounding streets have lost power for 5 days and counting, BUT all I lost is... TV/Internet/Phone for 2 days.

  • @georgef551 LOL

  • @ElevatorsandAlarms

    I believe it.

  • @georgef551 It was a thundersnow. the lightning struck between 7-7:30 or 9-10.

  • @ElevatorsandAlarms

Was it lightning? It's very poissible that there could've been a thundersnow, as it was forcasted. People thought it was the same here, but red, orange, blue, green isn't lightning.

Fortunately, outside of cleanup, it was all over when I posted this. I was very late, due to 4 days of no power.

You have those HUGE hurricanes. We get hurricanes as well, but they're usually minimal, or Cat 2's. The Hurricane of 1938 was a rare 3.

  • I've seen the destruction and inconvenience that these storms have brought to the denizens of the Northeast, and I assure you that you'll continue to remain ensconced in my thoughts and prayers. Brutal, brutal weather.
