This issue started yesterday. Nothing has changed, no effects, direct input from guitar to amp. Think it may be something to do with the tubes. Any suggestions welcome.

  • Just to post some progress on the issue. I haven't yet had it checked out by a professional, but when using a different guitar again (which I used originally to test the issue) the reverb resonating was gone. So it is perhaps a problem with the bridge of my other guitar may be causing it. I will test it further and post with the results.

  • how is the roadster holdin up i was thinking of picking one up

  • Yeah the roadster is an amazing amp. The only thing I don't feel I can really get is that classic Mashall ACDC sound, but I think running the amp with EL34's would possibly help. Other than that, amazing tones and I'd definitely recommend one.

  • I think the problem is that you have the mesa logo backwards

  • put a rubber band around the floyd springs

  • You ever hear the radio when in higher gain channels? That annoys me. So does the buzz when I have all my pedals hooked up. I do a standard setup, wah, tuner, ts9 into amp, loopsend chorus, phaser, delay, reverb loopreturn, and power them all with two daisy chained 9v supplies. I have thought of getting a noise suppresser but I dont want to cut into the tone anymore and I feel like this setup, even though it is a high end head, cuts into the tone enough as it is...

  • I haven't read any comments or anything, but check the reverb nobs on the back of your amp and make sure they're off o-o

    Hope this helps

  • @hobey123 Could be the springs of your guitar... Though that is when you have a guitar with a tremolo bridge like a fender style or floyd rose..

  • @hobey123 I was thinking about getting a pair of EL-34's for channel 2 also. Don't know which brand to get, Mesa Brand or Others???

  • This is your guitar dude...look into that. One my of ESP's did that..its in the shop now.

  • it's microphonics from a least one of the preamp tubes.. just check which one is the problematic tube.

  • bad tube...that all

  • The problem is the Floyd Rose springs. I had the same exact problem. Insulate them with some foam or something.

Actually, I see this video is hella old...so hopefully you've already figured this out by now. :)

  • sounds like a guitar problem to me, try other guitars!

  • if u have a guitar with a tremolo system the sound could be coming form the spirnge in the back of the guitar
