yes!!! genius idea, there is a craftsman blade sharpener for 89 bucks. go pick it up. unscrew the sharpening stone, drill a hole through a bowl and attach it and done!!
its has 1/2 horsepower and 550 rpm, more than the cheap ball spinners and it already uses water so no worries about shocking ourself. go to sears.

Ahhhh its all fun and games till it flies out of there and smashes you in the mouth maybe you can use some of them there drilling skills you got there to fix your grill when you go toothless from you DIY Ball spinner! ! ! !
