For filming, I recommend 550D over 500D at the moment.
A quick test clip to test my new Canon 500D.
I never had a DSLR in my hand and today is the first day I tried out a DSLR.
I hope you like my video.
I only wanted to test the Dof of that great camera.

  • do you have to use a special type of memory card for videos? because whenever i shoot a video and upload it to the computer, the quality drastically decreases, and it doesn't even look like it was shot from a 500D :(. it's disappointing and kind of frustrating.

  • @acousticsoul21 the sd-card is not the problem. I think the codec matters and makes your videos look worse.

  • What lens did you use for this video ?

  • @razgrizpnoy16 The Canon 18-55mm IS

  • Beautiful video! :D

When I get this camera in May (I absolutely CAN'T wait! I feel like crazy all the time, I'm hungering for it!), I'll make a test video with the standart objective, too :D

  • @JepardyGo thank you ;) I look forward to see your test-video ;)

and to answer your pm: the standard lens has manual focus.

  • I DONT GET IT WHY DISLIKES ON THIS VIDEO. GREAT VIDEO DUDE, WHAT LENS DID U USE?

  • whenever I focus manually it makes HORRIBLE noises that you can hear in the video. what lense should I get? I currently use the one that came with the camera.

  • @acousticsoul21 actually it could be the sd card. try a higher class card

  • What focusing mode did you use for this video??? AF MODE??

  • how do you switch focus like that O_O

  • But how?

whenever I focus It makes some weird sound..

is that on manual or something?

  • @BarbieBreezyy change the white bal on the camera to what ever type of light u are in, if u don't it will always come out too yellow or blue,

  • @SunnyShawFilms the 600d will let u shoot 60 fps witch wil give u a better pic i have the t1i and I'm saving up for the 600d, its worth the wait
