@rockintetster Tears down the "gateway theory" Statistics show over several years the increase of marijuana use has been substantially larger than other illegal drugs. Cocaine, heroin, etc use has actually stayed around the same area of use. So if marijuana was really a gateway drug wouldn't the use of other drugs increase along with the use of marijuana use?? Simple, marijuana isn't a gateway drug. Marijuana itself causes less harm to society and people than the illegality and prohibition of it
-
@rockintetster The reason the legalization of marijuana will decrease other hard drug use is because people will realize there is a safe and legal alternative to altering their consciousness so they don't have to go to cocaine, heroin, etc. and risk getting caught and being incarcerated! People will coherently make the rational human choice to use a safer substance than alcohol, tobacco, cocaine, etc. Hence why there are more marijuana users than any other illegal substance! This also CONT-

@rockintetster You pal are the fool. You obviously know NOTHING at all about marijuana and its comparison to alcohol! Alcohol causes/leads to aggression, domestic violence, child abuse, sexual assault, etc etc. Marijuana causes relaxation, pain relief, euphoria, etc. What is safer to you? People abuse alcohol daily. 80,000 people a year die from alcohol related deaths! No one has ever died a marijuana related death! EVER! Legalization will not increase hard drug use but rather decrease it! CONT

That woman's just like 95% of all the other Americans: blind and ignorant when it comes to drugs. She thinks there'll be a "slippery slope" if we legalize weed. Oh, please! There's no evidence to indicate that if we legalize it, somehow, some way, the number of marijuana users will increase 10fold. If people want weed bad enough, they'll get it, regardless of its legality.
And besides, who cares if some idiots overdose on harder drugs? It's their bodies and their fault.
