This is a slow look at a day in the lives of japanese students at school. They have to clean their own school every day for about 15 minutes. This includes becomming human mops.

  • Human mops? Bullshit. In my childhood in Soviet Union we did the same and nobody objected. What is more - we had so called "kitchen-duty", and everybody normal literally dreamed of going there, since that released us from lessons. Don't grind bullshit, dear.

  • I think you misread the warm affection in my statement. Remember that I edited this video and it clearly shows the warmth and love of the people. Also, I have worked in the school for 3 years and I clean with the students every day. And the fact is they clean the floor by dampening a cloth, and running back and forth with the cloth on the floor in front of them (which looks like a human mop in my eye). Anyway, thanks for the interesting soviet school insight but you can keep the macho hate,

  • oh wait, yeah..sorry. What is the name of the song??

  • Oh, yeah, I guess I didn't mention that, huh? haha. It is called "From the Morning" and it is on the album "Pink Moon."

  • what music is that? I enjoy the footage and song so.

  • The artist is Nick Drake. All his music is great.

  • Look how clean their school is. I doubt kids write stuff on the walls or drop paper and food containers on the floors because they know they have to clean the building themselves. Such pride, discipline and respect could do our country a lot of good.

  • ah japan how i wish i live there love their school, their culture, wish school in america is like that. i mean we would have to do cleaning our self and other stuff, but it seems fun, everyone get along and enjoying themself. cleaning together, sport day and stuff just seem so nice, it seems like one big family. here at my school, we talk about treating other with respect and acting like a family but the school dont really act like a family cuz we dont thing that would bring us together, hardly

  • I though the girls had shorter skirts, thats how the anime depict ladies uniforms.

  • I remember I had to do that in elementary school and middle school.

  • can i come to your country

  • wonderful....:'( aww.i wished i had my schooltime in japan too...

  • It's a very formal, common Japanese boy hairstyle. Boys in Japan will often have very short hair that is very trim.

And Girls will normally have either shoulder length hair or hair a little lower then their ears.

It's kind of cool, to see. (I've been there before)

  • I like in England so we don't have high schools and stuff but I'm in an equivilant of a Junior High School student... I want to go to a Japanese school! It looks soo fun and plus you get to stay in the same classroom unlike England where you keep switching! Aww I'm jelous! Plus I like the uniforms!

  • and these nerds will be making more than you will ever be.
