I didn't say anything about him.. My post was over a year ago. I said good things... Two types of artists..ones that act like they are an artist and ask for 50 cents to help pay for a cup of coffee. and artists that make things happen.. Which is what he is..he makes things happen.. Many people pretend to be artists because they think its cool and vogue... He isn't one of those people.
@TuxIsCool As to him being an "artsy fuck" he helps run a company that helps the artistic community and lets artists collaborate and make money. So yes he is and "artsy fuck" but he has made a living off of it and what's wrong with embracing art? This world needs art or we will not have any culture or Threadless for that matter.
We agree to disagree... except for the 'fucking' part.
Hipsters try to dress like the 80s a bit and they wear the shit that no one in the 80s would wear, while at the same time having the balls to listen to the depeche mode, and claim its indie. So yes there is something wrong with being a hipster.
Their is a reason why 'Generation Y' is also labeled as 'Generation Lost' because you guys have no fucking culture.
I kinda like this guys style, considering this was in New York (I think). He didn't come off as a hipster or an artsy fuck, but rather had the late 80s early 90s feel to him. Made me think about Social Distortion and Grunge Bands.
Made me want to do heroin (jk) and listen to Nirvana. Definitely an interesting business model and I mean that in a good way.
