  • In Islam it is not mandatory for women to wear the burqa and niqab. Those are simply cultural customs that were adopted by some people. The only thing that women are meant to do is wear the head scarf. But orthodox Christians such as the Amish and orthodox Jews also wear head coverings. Saying that wearing the burqa or niqab is oppressing women is ridiculous because it is not mandated by the faith, these women simply choose to on their own.   • OK LET ME MAKE THIS CLEAR,.. there is a point to be made for wearign the burka,..in their thoughts it is to keep a realtionship private between mn and woman ,.. having said that , i will have to add it is a complete choice of the woamn if you ask me,.. it is her life, her being, her apearance and her right to choose whatever she likes to do with that, t be who and what she ants to be , to live and see the world as an equal to all walking behind none.

    all religious books were written by men. they contain violent and mythical stories involving mostly fictional characters and there is not a shred of truth or divinity in any of these books.
