Android brothels: robot prostitutes could replace humans by 2050

Scientists in New Zealand say brothels staffed by robot prostitutes could be a reality by 2050. In the paper Robots, Men And Sex Tourism, Ian Yeoman and Michelle Mars of the Victoria Management School in Wellington imagine a world in which sex tourism has become respectable and human trafficking and the spread of STDs stemmed by replacing human prostitutes with lifelike sex robots.


Made with bacteria-resistant materials, these robots will ensure safe sex and may be seen as a more ethical way of hiring a prostitute. Although prostitutes themselves may not be keen on the developing technology, researchers believe robot sex workers can bring a level of respectability to the prostitution game.

The paper describes a fictitious brothel in Amsterdam called Yub-Yum where, for a little more than $8,000 (£6,200), visitors are "guaranteed a wonderful and thrilling experience as all the androids are programmed to perform every service and satisfy every desire."

Japan already came out with the male robot. The way I see it both sexes have become a couple of lazy, uncompromising bunch of shitheaded fucks! My hubby & I are disgusted with how pathetic our species have become. I welcome these robots. They assure me that if I do pass on before my hubby does, I can rest assure he would never have to put up with the bullshit nor will he be used & abused (he is easily influenced). Just as his soul can be at peace that I will be well cared for by my robot. :)

Are you fucking kinding me? Men have higher expectations too.... and the physical kind which is far more impossible than financial ones. One is either born with certain looks or not... as for money one can work at that. Your success and education isn't dictated by genes... looks are. Don't you get it! You want to weed out & eliminate the losers so that only sane, intelligent, confident, well minded people reproduce. Robots will make actual dating safer, cleaner, & more successful because they got rid of the people with the character flaws. I can't wait. Robots will help weed out the perverted, lazy, creepy people out of the species. :) They will also help people adjust their life better after losing a lover due to disease, accident or other cause of death. They will also be a great asset for people with disabilities. I truly can't wait. Robots will truly help our species rise and evolve. I would love to have a companion robot who will assist me with my daily routine, and can assist my hubby with his work. ^_^
