@Barnekkid you are right about the name "esquier"...but "broadcaster" was the name first , then changed to "telecaster" around '51' because gretch had a drum set of the same name..
but the "esquire" was the single pickup version of the tele..which jeff beck played in "the yardbirds"..as does the lead player in "the RaveUps". these guys know how to do it right.
and i too have been playing for 40 years,,,gasp.

@mrjonrickly You mean "Esquire." That name was changed (around 1951 or so) to "Broadcaster" due to a marketing conflict with Gretsch guitars. Been playing for over forty years, I know what I'm talking about. Yeah, I'm old. I was there "back in the day."

i think the lead player is using a "squire"....a single pickup telecaster.like beck used back in the day..
