What a wonderful piece of music. These guys are just so damned good. They make all their half-baked contemporaries sound asinine, labored, and irrelevant (I'm looking at you, Arcade Fire).

Well yes, by definition, the 'half-baked' ones are NOT good. Of course that's entirely subjective and 'good' is in the eye of the beholder. I've played Lansing Dreiden and Violens for people that I respect and they just don't hear the same thing I do. Still, I feel that these guys are leagues ahead of 90% of anything I've heard lately.
