After the hottest day of the year so far, light cloud ahead of an approaching front partially obscures the sun as the up return train passes Cockwood and forges on to Starcross. The sun has gone completely by the time 6024 leaves Exeter but this allows us the prospect of the train from "the wrong side" of the line at Stafford Bridge.

  • awesome! 5* would have been amazing to be overtaken in that first bit, well i spose it wouldnt have been but interesting way to see her!

  • Is this really the 6204 I saw at Quainton Road as a heap of boiler and wheels in the mid 1970s? If so, the restoration has been magnificent!

  • Wow he's shifting in that first shot :D Excellent stuff!

  • Stafford Bridge..hmmm...nearby Cowley Bridge were I filmed about a min or 30 seconds before it passed by the bridge. Still nice video!

  • Nice video. I'm surprised you didn't film in the morning. The weather was so much nicer. Also I can not see what Mr.Underhill was talking about, the loco was blowing off furiously! Its no wonder he was very annoyed.
