Why every emergency food storage should include ½ pound of rice per person per day. Rice is one of the best extender foods and by its nature if properly packed can easily store for over 10years..

  • i would be full on just what is on the plate

  • @ThunderLardner you so full of it.... that would not be possable unless you were a 2 mo old baby

  • have you thought about whole grain rice? White rice is made with paraffin, and talc used to make it white and WITHOUT ANY Nutrients that whole grain rice will give you. That is why you are not getting filled up by eating white rice, its because all the nutrients have been removed by the paraffin and other polishing techniques but it does have a longer shelf life because all the essential oils have been removed in the manufacturing process of white rice from brown rice. Thanx for all ur videos

  • @sonicalchemy yes but the storage life is not as long

  • @BhaktaRobin your not correct in so many ways .. your the one that needs to do the resurch

  • @dsarti1 When he is starving, his "vedic" cow will start looking more and more tasty. Being a vegetarian is a luxury of modern society. One bad frost or hailstorm, all vegetarian societies would have starved long ago.

  • Rice, dried beans, all kinds of pasta noodles, these make good extenders for your food storage meals. I stock up on them just in case of SHTF. I want to get a dehydrator & start drying fruits & veggies, too. I could kick myself for throwing away my ex's food dehydrator thinking it was worthless. I never grew up around anyone dehydrating so I did not know how useful it was.

  • Sir you have my respect and dont even bother to respond to those other guys

  • @diggingforgold Just trying to be funny. I suppose doing so at someone else's expense was rather ill-concieved.

  • @ThunderLardner

If by full you mean "sick of eating only plain rice", then yes. One thing this video has inspired me to stock up on is spices. Salt, I think, is probably one simple essential item a lot of people forget about.

Be civil, he's not judging you. We all have weaknesses. Besides, who better to receive food advice from than someone who knows his food! :P

  • Excellent point about rice being an 'extender' to other foods. I would hate to put all my eggs in one basket and live off nothing but rice for a day, much less several weeks. Anyway, great ideas. Your channel is full of great information, and you have my respect for being a prepper that shows respect.

  • The reason it doesn't fill you up is that it turns into sugar shortly after it hits your stomach.

  • This guy looks like he needs more "extender food" doesn't he?
