This cardinal hit my door today and I got to nurse it back to health. I love birds.

  • same thing happened to me the other day, but I didn't get a picture...wish I had, however, he's still here flying into my window everyday and I'm afraid he's going to knock himself out again.

  • If you can get some kind of sticker to go on your window it would help and your feeding should be either over 12 feet from you window or closer than 10 feet. A study was done believe it or not on just how far a feeder can be to stop them from hitting windows and that was the answer. Hope this helps :)

  • look like that bird is angry!?

  • Nursing the bird back to health.. Thumbs up for a good person on youtube!! this video gets a 5/5. Glad to hear you are a good person..

  • Poor bird I love carinals

  • If you do find a bird who's hurt themselves by flying into your window / sliding door, the best way to take care of them is to put them into a dark area in a box with air holes and let it rest for a while. Don't disturb them too much. After a few hours, bring the box outside, open the top and if it still can't fly away, let it rest some more, maybe a day or two. Try feeding it seed and fruit. If it still can't fly, bring it to an animal hospital.

  • It looked like it was really bad hurt!

  • On behalf of this beautiful little thing, thank you <3

  • One time my cat grabbed one of these cuties... it screamed then managed to fly away.

  • I saw my first Cardinal when In Alabama. (I'm from Scotland) and asked the person I worked for what it was.

It was obvious why it was called a Cardinal. :)

Boss was thinking how this world was all new to me and didn't know the animals or birds that were seen by me.

Lovely bird and glad it recovered. As people have said before, out a sticker on the window or something like wind chimes in front of the window to see if that stops it hitting the glass.

  • I love how he closes his eyes "I have a headache..."

  • Thank you for doing that.
