  • I realize the Beatles did this song before the Phoenix Jazz Band, I just liked the way this version sounded better. That's all.

  • i don't understand why people disliked the beatles comment? hah i think he was just saying the beatles sang this too:)

  • @sheikofaraby2

And a lot of people sang it before them- it's a 1920's standard.

  • @sheikofaraby2 check django reinhardt's version

  • Pants on?

  • @sk8erguy552 give up. at life.

  • @sk8erguy552 Are you kidding!? The Beatles (George) took a crack at it in 1961, but literally hundreds of bands had been playing it since 1921, when it was composed. It was composed in response to the popularity of the Rudolph Valentino film The Sheik. In 1926 it received new lyrics written by Billy Rose and was retitled "That Night in Araby".

It was a Tin Pan Alley hit, and was also adopted by early jazz bands, especially in New Orleans, making it a jazz standard.

  • I don't know what was funnier, President Bush singing or Congress dancing. But I liked it. You should do one for all the presidents; maybe a mix!

  • @sk8erguy552 this song is by fats waller...

  • @sheikofaraby2

Compared with this anything, from the beetles is just crap!

and as mentioned 90 years behind.

  • this song is 90 years old. it is from movie "The sheik" with Rudolph Valentino from 1921.!
