Woman has finger bitten off

Carrie Gill of Toledo is missing part of her right index finger after trying to break up a fight between her daughter and her daughter's boyfriend on New Year's night.

While she stopped the fight, she also got a scar that will last a lifetime.

Robert Boone is being charged with felony assault tonight by Toledo police after allegedly biting off Gill's finger. She says Boone has a history of abuse, and she's saying enough is enough.

"I don't want to see her go through the abuse he's putting her through," Gill said. "She's my daughter. I love her."

When Gill, her daughter, and her daughter's boyfriend, headed out to Lil Sheba's Bar on Saturday night, she was hoping for a normal night. After leaving the bar, she says Boone started hitting his girlfriend, Gill's oldest daughter.

She stepped in, and that's when she says Boone bit her.

"When I went to grab him, I felt him bit my finger," Gill said. "But I didn't know until I looked a few seconds later that it was actually gone. Part of it was gone."
